Nestled in the peaks and valleys of Gampola, Sri Lanka; Sinhapitiya Estate, situated in the perfect Eden where rich, untouched soil meets heavenly views of the beautiful mid country landscape.
The estate is historically significant to our island as it is part of the first coffee plantation established by George Bird in 1824.
With the rise and fall of coffee plantations in Ceylon and the emergence of tea plantations, the estate has now morphed and transformed into a rich and diversified land that includes tea, coffee and local spices growing on untouched lush land.
To produce high-quality, natural, and consciously manufactured products that reflect the richness of Sri Lanka’s agricultural heritage while supporting ethical agricultural practices, community building and environmental sustainability.

The lush soil and climate are perfect for growing tea, coffee and spices, and all our products are handmade in small batches with lots of love, by our gifted artisans . Since the year 1824, Sinhapitiya Estate has carried the legacy of being part of the first coffee plantation in Ceylon, pioneered by the father of the Ceylon planting industry – George Bird. Centuries later, we’re gently going back to our roots by applying ancestral wisdom to our ethos of agriculture, in this mystical island paradise.
